Inclusive Learning

An inclusive learning environment respects diversity, enables participation, removes barriers and anticipates and considers a variety of learning needs and preferences. See this cartoon.

Inclusive Learning is made up of the Accessibility and Inclusive Learning (previously Dyslexia Skills) teams. We advise and support students with disabilities, health conditions and specific learning differences, such as dyslexia. Our aim is for all students to feel equally valued and included.

We work closely with colleagues in ASK: Academic Skills, Languages, the Library and Educational Technology to provide a wide range of support for all students.



The Accessibility team provide help, support and advocacy for students with disabilities and anyone experiencing problems like anxiety or stress. We are the people to see for advice and support for applying for Disabled Students' Allowances (DSA).

Inclusive Learning

Inclusive Learning provides advice, screening and support for students with specific learning differences such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and Autistic Spectrum Condition. We can help you develop strategies to maximise your potential.

We are also helping develop a more inclusive teaching and learning environment.
